Sampson House and Ludgate demolition

The demolition of Sampson House and Ludgate House is now complete.

Covid-19

Native Land and McGee’s have introduced the following key measures to ensure the site is compliant with government and industry guidelines on Covid-19, and more importantly to protect our workforce and closest neighbours from the virus whilst works continue on site:

  • We removed the finger recognition site entrance and clocking systems and replaced them with manual clocking system
  • Rearranged our welfare facilities to comply with social distancing guidelines, keeping people a minimum of 2m apart
  • We rearranged our walkways and accesses to ensure a minimum of 2m distance is maintained
  • We have given car park slots in Samson House site  to all who can drive to work. We are also encouraging people to cycle to work where possible
  • We have employed a professional deep cleaning contractor to carryout chemical cleaning in all our welfare facilities, walkways, communal areas and machine cabins every 72 hours

For full clarification on how we are continuing to operate during these difficult times, please read our Covid-19 Newsletter here.

Community Liaison Group

We have set up a Community Liaison Group (CLG) for local residents to learn more about the demolition from McGee. The first meeting was held on 24th October 2018.

The next Community Liaison Group meeting is yet to be confirmed as we are exploring how best to continue the meetings under current circumstance. We will provide an update shortly on how the CLG meetings will take place in the future.
